Pros

- Builds experience - Bonus potential - flexibility with your schedule - offers internships - if you jump through hoops, you can grow into more career opportunities

Cons

- Mgmt does not care about the safety of their employees - The directors of Mental Health are only in this for themselves and their own benefit. - upper mgmt will absolutely look down on you - PTO is useless if you're not OVER on productivity - Very productivity-focused, regardless of time constraints - Claims they care about mental health but they don't really. - HR is friends with ALL the staff, so don't think you'll get help there. it's extremely biased. - pay sucks If you can get in and out in 6months-1yr total solely for experience do that and go find a different job!

Pros

Strong workflow and structure: Day-to-day operations run smoothly, which allows me to focus on quality work rather than constant crisis management. Behind-the-scenes impact: I truly enjoy the analytical and administrative side of counseling. Reviewing reports, researching client data, and supporting treatment planning is fulfilling and allows me to contribute to client success in a different but important way. Team support and collaboration: I assist my team in managing client services and helping clients make informed, effective choices toward recovery. Welcoming work environment: Staff at CRC have been friendly and inclusive, and I’ve enjoyed building relationships with new coworkers. Private office space: Having my own office has been a major benefit and supports productivity and focus. Work-life balance tradeoff: While the hours are long, having a half day on Fridays helps balance the schedule.

Cons

High counselor-to-client ratio: Counselors are carrying very large caseloads, which contributes to burnout and makes it difficult for staff to prioritize their own mental health and wellness. Leadership transitions: Switching supervisors can be difficult. While transitions have been somewhat rocky, they have been manageable overall.
