Pros
As soon as I finished training, I was assigned my own development project and got to own it from start-to-finish. I was paired with one of the lead developers to design the architecture, which was a cool learning experience. It's a lot of work, but overall, I have a ton of ownership over the things I create and it's cool to know that people in the movie industry are using the features I've created. Support is in the same room and I have the opportunity to hear what clients are saying about the things I build. Other dev teams I've worked on aren't like that. You are just a cog and don't get to really make a personal difference. I've seen two people promoted internally on the dev team while I've been here, and it's always nice to know there's opportunity to advance, especially since the company is growing so much.
Cons
Lots of projects, so lots of work. Team is very supportive, though.
