Pros
Employees genuinely care about each other, and have a sense of community. There is flexibility on how you do your work (in some teams). The product is solid, and is a good fit for mid market companies with a standard recruiting process.
Cons
After 2 layoffs in less than a year, it's tough to trust the folks who are doing planning / making decisions at Greenhouse. They claim to be people first, they claim to care about customer experience, but their actions tell a different story. People of color, people with disabilities and employees in vulnerable life situations were laid off without any warning. This didn't feel very "people first". In the customer facing part of the organization, the multiple layoffs created 2x work for everyone left. How can you almost double the customer load for AMs/ CSMs and expect customers to get the same stellar experience? Typical for a tech company, there was no change to compensation or incentives for the additional workload, and no direction on how to handle the increased book size. The tide is definitely changing at Greenhouse.
