Pros

I have a great leader who genuinely cares about our team, which is the only reason I'm still here. Our ERGs were once a strong source of psychological safety and community, offering a space where diverse voices felt heard and supported. Unfortunately, this has changed since key senior leaders who championed diversity and inclusion effectively are no longer with the company.

Cons

I've been with Greenhouse Software for several years, and while the company prides itself on being "people first" and inclusive, my experience tells a different story. Despite the company's marketing, I have observed that true inclusivity and support for diverse leadership are lacking. The founders seem to protect long-tenured, white talent, creating barriers for diverse leaders who are striving to make a difference. It's disheartening to see the company's commitment to diversity appear superficial—especially when it seems like it's only a matter of time before the two inclusive Asian leaders are pushed out. The reality is that diversity shouldn't be about optics or having "colored children" as a justification.

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. At Greenhouse, we welcome all input—positive and critical—because it helps us grow stronger as an organization. That said, I want to address your comments directly. We are deeply committed to inclusion, equity, allyship, and building a diverse leadership team. Therefore, we take great concern with the several allegations you have posted in this review. Open and transparent dialogue is a critical part of creating a culture of belonging, and we encourage all employees to use the resources available to them. Unfortunately, Greenhouse hasn’t been able to substantiate these allegations given that the information presented in this public review was not presented in any of the many channels that Greenhouse provides to address matters like this, including speaking with your People Business Partner, our PX & IDEA team, the anonymous Employee Concern Hotline, asking a question via our AMAs, or direct conversations with managers, SLT, or ELT members. Greenhouse’s commitment to Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Allyship (IDEA) has been a foundational pillar of our company. Therefore, It is paramount that our employees feel safe and empowered to bring their whole selves to work. If you are still a part of Greenhouse, I encourage you to reach out through any of the many channels mentioned above so we can address your concerns directly. Constructive feedback shared through these avenues allows us to take meaningful action and better support our employees. While I cannot change past experiences, I remain committed to ensuring Greenhouse continues to be a place where everyone feels valued, supported, and heard. I encourage you to use your voice in places that can affect meaningful change. We are more than happy to hear it. Thank you again for your feedback.

Pros

The culture is unmatched and the leadership at Greenhouse truly cares about its employees. It’s refreshing to work with a customer base that enjoys our product. I really believe in the direction of the company and the improvements that we’re making to the product. Everyone I work with is awesome and I’m incredibly happy here.

Cons

I think the comp plan needs to be reevaluated. There’s a lot that is out of your control, and it isn’t setup in such a way that you can blow out your numbers and really overachieve your OTE. I think it was setup for a time when the company was a lot smaller, and the AMs had very large books of business. My only real gripe with Greenhouse is that we are paid commission quarterly instead of monthly, but I enjoy the company so much that I can overlook it.

Pros

Great fringe benefits and good at hiring kind, helpful individuals

Cons

1. Culture changed very significantly during my time there, becoming more cutthroat and less aligned with why I joined in the first place. In a way, I felt pushed out and like I had to leave as a result. 2. Macroeconomic and industry shifts resulted in job instability and cycling layoffs as mentioned in other reviews. 3. Some senior leaders started as entry-level employees, and while that career growth is nice to see, not only does it no longer feel possible at Greenhouse, but that those same employees are increasingly ill-equipped to navigate the challenges that the business is experiencing given their lack of exposure. This was especially clear to me in CS and Product. At the same time, turnover at lower levels was very high during my time there, even with great employees, but never much acknowledgment of it. 4. Product is falling behind Ashby and other competitors.
