Pros

Very top notch company to be exposed to all the new software. You will work with very talented people. There is room to transfer nationwide and internationally. They will give raises and also paid days off for your brithday for example. They also offer free health insurance (but would recommend paying for the little more expensive one since it covers a little bit more. The commissions are usually pretty good and the properties are usually the best in every area. They also train for everything and there are always options to do lease ups since they most of the time acquire brand new properties. Lots of opportunities to make money. Once you work for Greystar and put it on your resume other property management companies will start knocking on your door trying to hire you. They have that prestige.

Cons

They have been losing properties like crazy lately. They are the #1 property management company in the world technically but things are changing. Other companies are stepping up to the plate and making moves. The pay hourly has been getting worser for new hires. People are constantly leaving especially maintenance since other companies offer more money. I hate that they have their own renters insurance so you cant make money with who you've been using before (only real leasing agents know this).

Pros

-Great networking opportunities. -Good IT support. -Great benifits. -Great employee housing discount and housing opportunities. -Commissions will make your paycheck worth it.

Cons

-Management is broad and impersonal. You may feel like a number. -Your workload can be a lot at times. if you work well under pressure, you'd succeed here. -The leasing season is not year round meaning you will have slow months and you will have good ones. Save in the good months to get through the slow ones. -High turnover. Resilience will get you far. -It's rare that you get your weekends at a company like this.
