Pros

Excellent pay and benefits package.

Cons

Lack of support from upper management. Expected for one person to manage 3 email accounts, becomes overwhelming. Micromanagement. Care more about curb appeal, rather than actually fixing issues within the property. Older property needs alot of work. Never iny 10 years as a property manager have I been expected to put my life in danger to knock door to door to see of people have skipped. I've never worked for a company that doesn't have a regional maintenance director, so I'm supposed to manage office and leasing as well as manage maintenance and scheduling turns. Lack of training on policy's and procedures. Basically had to train myself as I go. When you ask a question or ask for support, you are referred to someone who acts as though you are a burden and it's your fault that you weren't trained.

Pros

-Great networking opportunities. -Good IT support. -Great benifits. -Great employee housing discount and housing opportunities. -Commissions will make your paycheck worth it.

Cons

-Management is broad and impersonal. You may feel like a number. -Your workload can be a lot at times. if you work well under pressure, you'd succeed here. -The leasing season is not year round meaning you will have slow months and you will have good ones. Save in the good months to get through the slow ones. -High turnover. Resilience will get you far. -It's rare that you get your weekends at a company like this.
