Pros

If candor is the cornerstone for these reviews, it is certain opportunity to learn what NOT to do when managing a law firm by observing your bosses shortcomings and avoid adopting such traits

Cons

If it seems like the job market is dismal, keep on forging on to secure that dream job because if you are not patient you may have to compromise with working at Griffin Alexander, a firm ridden with poor management that operates its firm like a paper mill and has problems passing the salt (or throw a bone) to their hard working employees. Young job seekers: you will not regret sparing yourself the humiliation working for this organization. Many personality flaws and they will penny pinch you to the very end for your well deserved reimbursements for gas and fuel when using your vehicle on business.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We understand how important it is for employees to feel respected and fairly treated, and we’re genuinely sorry to hear you don’t feel that’s been your experience. We have thoughtful policies in place for expense reimbursements to help ensure consistency and fairness across the board. When questions or concerns do come up, we always aim to address them considerately and in good faith-we never want to deny any employee a legitimate reimbursement, and we aim to process all requests responsibly. If you believe something hasn’t been handled correctly, we encourage you to reach out to your supervisor or the Managing Partner so we can take a closer look and clarify any questions you may have. We’re committed to having a workplace where people feel supported and where expectations are clear, and we appreciate feedback that helps us always stay in that direction.

Pros

The people are the best part of the firm! The teams are super collaborative, and your co-workers are very supportive and willing to help you out. I am happy to see many of my coworkers each day. We have a great vibe! The firm is fast paced, but I have learned so much in the short time I have been a Legal Assistant. I came in with no prior experience in Landlord/Tenant law and received training to learn about proper procedures and protocol. If you are a quick learner with a strong work ethic, you will do great at Griffin Alexander! Every day I learn something new and I am proud of what I have accomplished so far with the firm. In terms of work-life balance, there is great work-life balance! We get a paid, hour-long lunch. Additionally, the hours are a very traditional 9am to 5pm with little to no overtime required.

Cons

There can sometimes be a heavy workload. The demand fluctuates as there are some busy times of the month. However, this can teach you great time management skills and you can reach out to your supervisor if you are feeling overwhelmed and cannot meet a specific deadline. Once again, if you have a strong work-ethic, you will do great!

Pros

There weren't any pros, genuinely.

Cons

The turnover rate is extremely high, they would rather replace someone than treat them with respect and pay a little more money. Wages are bad, culture is bad, morale is worse. Expect to receive little to no training and be verbally lashed when you make a mistake. Even if the mistake was because of a lack of training/you not knowing better. Hesitate to ask questions, too many and that's a problem. People come and go, some last a week, some last a month, a few last a year. Longer than that? Unicorns. Management is unhappy, for what reason? Who knows, maybe from working there, maybe personally, but it shows, and if you're the closest person available you will be on the receiving end of the unhappiness. Like other reviews on here, you can expect no work or so much there is no way to keep up. This isn't a place that rewards good work or hard work, it rewards your ability to sit down, shut up, and toe the party line. Save yourself the trouble, you can get similar experience for more pay and less stress. Not even as an internship, go work at McDonalds, your prospects are better there.
