Decent tech, inexperienced sellers, naive exec team, zero vision - Anonymous employee GroundTruth Employee Review

Pros

The location tech is ahead of the lot. When most of the companies are getting into the measurement business since the core media business is hard to compete against FB and google, GT is still developing good tech for the media business. Company still has few gems in sales, product and tech teams. Marketing does admirably well with that it can (though the recent branding effort was ill timed).

Cons

There is zero vision from the exec team (and this was true even before Dipanshu's departure). There is no 5 year plan, no 1 year plan, and no clear reason why we build what we build in the next few quarters. Sales team has had major losses. Product is complex and sellers are too inexperienced. Recent layoffs have reduced the morale massively. And there is no leader to pump up the team.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and I whole heartedly agree that our tech is far ahead of the rest! Personally, I find that both innovation and talented employees are plentiful here - and what truly sets this company apart. As for our lack of vision and long-term planning I agree there is room for improvement. As we have been rapidly growing the past few years (Our tech is available in over 21 countries and we have almost 400 employees) and how quickly the technology has been advancing this is an area we know we have experienced struggles/difficulties. As with any company in a fast growing and rapidly evolving marketplace - we have to be on top of where the market is going which can result in shifts in strategy and focus. Although this makes for a somewhat chaotic environment - our ability to quickly respond to trends and evolving customer needs has allowed us to grow to where we are today - the largest location-based technology company in our space. Despite our growth our industry did face some challenges and we were forced to make some touch decisions. The company is committed to ensuring we are well positioned for success not just today but well into the future. If you are willing to discuss your thoughts and ideas further please leverage our open door policy and reach out to our executive team or People Operations (HR) team.

Pros

Remote, great benefits, FTO, low pressure

Cons

Big team, both in US and overseas, did not match the workload. Was laid off in 2023 due to company overestimating their value and offshoring jobs. They did salary scale after 1-2 months after starting, changed their compah bonus structure towards the end to allow only provide towards "high performing individuals". Company unclear on their direction nor were transparent on state of affairs even though they claimed full transparency.
