Pros

Do you like drinking beer on Friday’s? Where was I going with? Um...pros, right. Well, they’re still a Company which is good (for them), the building has not burned to the ground (yet) and um, I think everybody I worked with over a year ago has been fired, let go, and left with their hands I disgust so you don’t have to worry about ever working with good, hardworking people. Don’t worry, the cons are next.

Cons

Everything is bright and shiny and awesome when you first start a new job, but even my first day there was a kind of a foreboding dread that my boss and my fellow colleagues seemed to carry with them. All of them were great people for the most part and everyone of them were either fired or left the company of their own volition. I’ve never heard a company use the term “shoot from the hip” as much as GS. Whenever there was any mentioning of “planning” or “forecasting” the senior management (one level above me) and the senior board members’ eyes would glaze over and shake their heads up and down and say “oh yea, that’s not the direction we’re going.” Pardon? My immediate boss who was the director of fulfillment, essentially the CLO, although they’d never actually give him that title had/has a resume that any midsized business would literally slobber over. In addition to working 17-18 hour days, he was working on his MBA (get this) in Logistics. Regardless, his business saving ideas were all shot down and then before he was able to resign he was fired when the CEO and COO caught wind of him offering his resignation. Inter work relationships are the norm so, be careful who you have relations with because you probably just had relations with 15 other people you work with. Profit share is cool, if it was ever obtainable without it being the holiday season and even then be ready to watch your soul leave your body when they tell you they’re changing shipping systems the week of Black Friday. Thousands of dollars lost unnecessarily and packages were lost, sent several times or not sent at all. Don’t get me wrong there were some great people that worked there. Hard working, industrious people that were there to provide for their families or just themselves and were treated like dirt. Promises that I gave to MY workers were kicked to the curb. I read in another review that those who work in the administrative offices get treated better and with more pay than there production and shipping counter parts and those accusations are entirely true. Straight from the mouth of one of the Cs, “well, customer service and sales and design make more because they have to think harder and make more decisions where as the production and shipping are mindless peons who we can replace easily.” Cool, wait, what? So, how do I tell my employees who work their tails off everyday why they’re not getting paid the same as the person who talks to angry customers. I guarantee they know the shipping software way more intricately than you do, but I digress, since employee satisfaction isn’t a top concern except when it is about those few who have stayed with the company longer than a year and all share the same strain of STD. They give you just enough money to make you think like you’re being paid fairly, but you look at other similar companies and your realize you’re getting low balled. I don’t know how to end this “Cons” section without sounding at least a tiny bit bitter, but here’s a shot in the dark. Thank you for making me realize I never want to be associated with such toxic people such as yourselves and will probably never work for a corporate VETERAN company ever again.

Culture and collaboration are top-notch. You want a workplace that you are excited to go to, that's Gruntstyle. The CEO associates with everyone. It is a modern workplace. You are allowed to move around and do perform your duty. There's no discrimination. I truly loved it there.

Cons

They need to pay more.

Pros

Good enough company to work for even through they are going under. Some of the people you work with are nice and willing to work with you to improve.

Cons

If you work in the retail space at the HQ store don’t expect to learn anything. If you try to learn anything or ask questions you will be met with ugly looks from the managers and DM. Or be told that it’s not your job and then they will turn it around and say your not doing enough.etc
