Pros
The system they have in place do well to help you navigate thru your typical day-day use. Moreover, there are any number of people both personally at the office and accords the country that have never seemed for than happy to give advice to someone who goes searching for it.
Cons
Your initial training is going to rely on the contacts you already have somewhat of relation ship. You’ll use those contact both for your and their own benefit. You get the opportunity to iron out any wrinkles/dry spots in your presentation and the other, at worst has learned something about his money and where it goes, and ultimately GLICs philosophy to not only helping him retain more of what he has already earned but protecting what he has yet to earn (life ins) and/or his ability to continue working (health ins)… the only con of this approach was that I had to make appointments w some potential high value clients.. I would have preferred to hold off on those until I was really settled in. That said, the approach is effective at getting you in front of some faces in your first few weeks.
