Pros

The people at GSI are all great to work with -- no politics or nastiness, just a lot of teamwork by other people who love this company. My favorite thing is that Guest Services really promotes from within. A lot of companies say that, but Guest Services really does. I've been promoted twice since I started, my boss has been promoted twice, and a LOT of my co-workers have been promoted into management. A lot of the executives and almost all of the directors and district managers were promoted internally, too. Guest Services is a great company to work for if you like the stability of working for one great company but having the ability to advance in your career if you want -- your hard work is really recognized and rewarded!

Cons

Well ... I have friends who work with (large) competitors and they make a little more money than I do. But when they tell me that they regularly have to work 6 or sometimes 7 days a week, and regularly need to take calls / answer emails 14+ hours a day ... no thank you, yuck. Guest Services means it when they say they want their employees to have a great work/life balance, and the salaries are still decent and fair. And the benefits are as good or better than anyone else I know!

Pros

Incredibly organized training system, even provided us all with CPR certifications and paid us for it. The online scheduling board was super easy to use to request time off, trade shifts, etc.

Cons

Sometimes shifts were cancelled due to the weather. Not as many shifts as I was expecting because they over-hired.
