Pros

This is a large company that has sites coast to coast with a wide range of opportunities (hospitality, dining, recreation, etc.). They are also big proponent of hiring from within, which means there are lots of opportunities for employees.

Cons

The overall training of new staff is poor. There is the expectation that the upper level managers will impart all of their knowledge on to their staff and there is very little support from the corporate team (aside from the training department) to help onboard new employees. The training department should not have to be the only source of assisting employees with becoming knowledgeable about the company.

Pros

Incredibly organized training system, even provided us all with CPR certifications and paid us for it. The online scheduling board was super easy to use to request time off, trade shifts, etc.

Cons

Sometimes shifts were cancelled due to the weather. Not as many shifts as I was expecting because they over-hired.
