Where to start? Basically, this company was started 20 years ago and everything stopped there: Technology, communication, financial compensation. Everything is done by Fax or mail. You can't get direct access to voicemail. They do not have company e-mail. As an "account executive," you are working off of their version of a "draw system" which they describe in the interview as base salary. Essentially it is designed for failure for the account executive. You might be able to work a church and exceed your sales goal but you will still have to make up for "dog" church territories. It doesn't start over with each new church of sales cycle. Your draw comes out to minimum wage and you are expected to pay for own gas except for long distance to the church itself from your home and back. Many times they will book you in a motel (that is another story as they are sometimes at the level of a flop-house) that is usually 30 miles or more from the work location.
For the first time in my life, I had to apply for food stamps as most of my money was going towards making sure the CEO/"landowner" was sitting pretty.
DO NOT TAKE A SALES JOB WITH THIS COMPANY.
