Pros
First place I worked at where you like most (if not all) that you work with. People are smart, friendly, and hard working. The product is exciting, especially if you attend gaming conventions or work-related conferences. I've done a lot of my best work at this company and cherish the experiences and growth I've had cause of it.
Cons
While I give praise to the culture, there's definitely office politics and the quality has declined as certain regular coworker social events (e.g. game night) was removed. Compensation... Varies. Especially if they hire you (and judge the compensation) for one role but expect you to do multiple roles. Depending on manager, the regular performance reviews aren't very "regular" and lack any real career building due to inexperience. Promises aren't always kept due to disorganization. Also, there's a lot of power grabbing, where certain departments and coworkers will make calls on areas they lack expertise in; over those that do. Things that had been warned about in great detail within the role the worker was hired for, was disregarded based on another's "gut feeling"; whom has a different role. Those things ended up being true and could have been avoided with more consideration over another's educated experiences. This was more of a recent development, where there used to be more ownership and trust in the beginning. Now, you're just working directly for someone else's idea, in the manner that they tell you to do it. THIS costed the review a star.
