Cons
When on a contract, hard to get out of the project without switching jobs Midyear Promotions are not for everyone, just a second-chance for those that didn't make it during normal promotion season. Will withhold promotion even for someone that is ready during midyear cycle. Hard to connect (also related to COVID) with people on my project since I haven't seen them, but company doesn't have many events nor does my contracted servicer attempt to connect.
