Pros

There are some very intelligent and hard working individuals at Guidepoint. Definitely an environment to build relationships and camaraderie. The culture is slowly changing as the HR team is throwing more events (company lunches, happy hours, etc.). Also, if you're lucky, you'll be favored by management and receive robust client accounts yielding a lot of commissions.

Cons

The CEO is extremely awkward and WAY too involved with minute details that should be left to his management team. When frustrated and/or concerned, he can also be very unprofessional. Favoritism and politics play a huge role here. If you're not working hard to constantly impress management, you will be repeatedly overlooked. Ivy league graduates are lured here as they believe they will be doing "market research", when in reality they browse LinkedIn all day. As a result, there is high turnover here and most people stop putting forth their best efforts.

Pros

the only pros are the salary and two hybrid days

Cons

Do not take a job with Guidepoint, even if you were a strong student in college and consider yourself a hard worker. The project managers are fine, but the team leads are awful. You won’t learn any tangible skills; the work largely consists of reaching out to people on LinkedIn for hours on end. On top of that, they will let people go very easily. Stay away from this company.
