Pros
I have worked in Montessori education for over 12 years, and have never seen a school so committed to its students and staff. The amount of training, professional development, and support I’ve received is, quite frankly, staggering. My supervisors are amazing leaders who empower me to make decisions, encourage me to try new things, and are always there as thought partners when I’m struggling through a challenge. My colleagues are inspiring, and I get to meet and share best practices with administrators across all the Guidepost schools every week. They are an amazing group of school leaders! I began a career in education because I wanted to impact future generations, to help students learn, grow, and become their best selves. Here at Guidepost, I’ve found an organization that is 100% dedicated to the same mission. All the classrooms have the full range of authentic Montessori materials, most of which are brand new. There are Montessori Mentors that help me support the classrooms by offering observations, trainings, webinars, and feedback sessions with teachers. And the teachers light up my day as much as our families. Their warmth, thoughtfulness, and deep care for our students is something to be treasured. I’m grateful for finding Guidepost Montessori, and plan to carry out my life’s work with this incredible team.
Cons
There is a lot to learn and a lot of work to do! This isn't for someone who is looking for a comfy, predictable, easy, "I've got this all down" kind of job. But I enjoy the challenge and couldn't ask for better guides.
