Pros

What more can you say? Of course the pros are working with the students. The other faculty are mostly a pleasure to work with as well.

Cons

The people in most upper administrative positions are completely clueless on how to do their own jobs, or anyone else's. They delegate most, if not all, of their responsibilities to lower admin workers and overload them until they get fed up and quit, or get fired because they can no longer perform the overwhelming amount of work. They spend most of their days going around the office chit chatting while the instructors and lower administrators are working their tails off. They are also allowed to leave whenever they please as they are not required to clock in or out, while just about everyone else is. So the main culprits of doing absolutely nothing, are the same people who get to come and go as they please. Of course the upper administrators are never let go for this, but don't forget your place at the bottom. Remember to do your job and theirs, and stay chained to your desk while they come in late and go home early.

Pros

Working with other instructors and helping students to achieve their goals.

Cons

Upper level administration is very oppressive and will find ways to terminate anyone who dissents or questions the decisions they make. Even when presented with clear evidence that their decisions will have a negative impact on students. They have an attitude that you either go with what they want or leave and have actually stated it. There is a very top heavy administration while certain areas lack enough full time instructors to run programs.
