Pros

Deals on gear, including straight from vendors; opportunities to advance and grow; if you need to take time off for a tour, you have your same job when you get back (you don't paid for that, obviously); you get to meet industry people and celebrities occasionally (depend on location); they DO believe that the more you know the farther you go.. I gave them 14+ years of my life, and have way more great memories than bad ones (all jobs have drama) - I've already requested to return, and they said "when there's an availability"... that's says something about a place to work for these days.

Cons

Pay can be rough at first, but it's a 'music store' with goals, so you have set them up for yourself with advancement; more duties = more pay. Dealing with drama with artistic and musician customers, as well as co-workers.. (maybe 1/10..?) ...but face it: Artists without drama is just a robot!.

Pros

Sweet deals and discounts Coworkers are very pleasant to work with Good as extra income Good for aspiring musicians to network with experts of the industry

Cons

Obsolete softwares Scheduling system software that is thenmost imperative tool as of it will be the backbone of a lesson lead for your team of instructors success it's also somewhat obsolete amd constantly crashing both IT and Upper management are aware. IT is very diligent and pleasant to work with but Upper management expects their lessons lead to work and deliver at 100% capacity while they continue to have an operating system that only works at 75% capacity, just beware of that and if you're willing to work under those conditions. With that put there go at your own discretion. Nobody gets Christmas/winter holiday vacation time off, also go at your own discretion on that one especially if you have kids and family looking for work-life-balance.
