Pros

There is some interesting engineering work to do here and it is good experience.

Cons

They don't seem to 'get' that they won't get loyalty without getting it. In direct engineering (sustaining) there is a 'give me five' - five hours free program (this was not communicated in my offer). 4-10 work schedule was promised (in writing) then removed the week I got there. 9 months before getting goals...no performance review...no job description. Lots of good people randomly trying to stay busy. As lots of other people have said...middle management SUCKS. The company culture is a lot of backbiting and competing for flashy projects. The people that like Savannah and want to stay will do all in their power to look good. Promotion rate is slow, you have to be completely self motivated to get good projects. People suck. Savannah is hot and boring (unless you are into restaurants and bars). The pay is just so-so now that they eliminated paid overtime. It sucks that they have lost the excitement and culture of designing an airplane and have moved to a big disorganized group of people who are terrified to be laid off. All showmanship and it's beginning to reflect in the product. Lost their passion. Avoid this company until they get their transition figured out.

Pros

-Work in an air conditioned hangar! -All the tools and support needed to do the job -Excellent training available -Good safety culture -Fairly easy work -Lots of opportunities to grow

Cons

Big corporate politics at times. Some people just love to point fingers. Rules that are very excessive due to incompetence, instead of just firing morons.

Pros

Rather decent front loaded time off. 4 day work weeks. A pretty decent off shift incentive.

Cons

Management does not care about their people. They are so far removed from what’s going on on the floor and too focused on passing the buck to someone else for their screw ups. People are placed in positions they should not be in simply because they know someone or they kiss up to someone. The people on the floor have very little fixed wing experience yet act as if they know everything. The only path they create for people to move up is A&P and even then they just want you to stay a mechanic. They neglect to realize that people stay with a company for the culture as well as leave because of it.
