Pros

The hours are good and they do strive to take a leadership role in the industry. Very strong back-office staff overall relative to the other players. Great future for the company as they are aggresively trying to train the next generation of account executives. Excellent expertise on all areas of reinsurance and well suited to deal with the up and down nature of the industry.

Cons

Cyclical nature of the industry and the vastly different treatment between revenue producing positions and "cost center" positions.

Pros

I'm not there anymore. Fair pay. Started out great.

Cons

Midway through a year-long contract I already started looking. It was an extremely boring place to work. This is the kind of place where you stay within your boundary. In other words, if you are an architect, you design diagrams all day. No hands-on work - even if you know what you're doing. I was even rebuked on several occasions for working with a developer to help him out. I was told I needed to tell him to ask someone else responsible for that. If you like to do hands on and you are an architect, you will hate it here.
