Pros

Overall C-level organization with well-meaning individuals and nice coworkers. Great benefits. Genuinely tries to improve employee satisfaction.

Cons

Compliance matters more than progress. Changes take 2-5 years. Management is more like a highly skilled acting troop focused on top-down compliance rather than achieving organizational goals. Strong conflict avoidance tendencies. Politically fear driven managers and employees. Deeply entrenched (20+ years) management holding strong on party lines. Locally, there is fret and fuss and talk about deadlines and priorities and objectives. Globally, the organization moves at the pace it was always going to move. If you’re looking for a stable place to lay low in a down market or before starting a family, this is a good pick. If you want to advance your career outside of this regulatory capture domain (i.e. transferrable skills), look elsewhere.

Pros

I'm not there anymore. Fair pay. Started out great.

Cons

Midway through a year-long contract I already started looking. It was an extremely boring place to work. This is the kind of place where you stay within your boundary. In other words, if you are an architect, you design diagrams all day. No hands-on work - even if you know what you're doing. I was even rebuked on several occasions for working with a developer to help him out. I was told I needed to tell him to ask someone else responsible for that. If you like to do hands on and you are an architect, you will hate it here.
