Pros

Medical benefits, 10% off of some groceries. New people to talk to

Cons

They will work you to death. L2 is the worst. Management doesn’t care about you or your needs. They will talk behind your back, micromanage you until you get burnt out. Favoritism is so bad, They’re constantly trying to find ways to write you up or make you feel like a failure. A lot of the produce gets ruined in the returns room and put back to sell. They will make you work a week straight without days off during the holidays, will not approve any holiday PTO no matter how far in advance it is. If it interferes with the managers there, they will make an excuse for not approving it. A lot employees have not returned or picked up shifts here because of her… oh and if you quit, they will ban you or place you in a “no rehire list”…

Pros

10% off HEB stuff. That's it...

Cons

NO FULL-TIME OFFER! The recruitment process at H-E-B Digital is deeply frustrating and appears to lack integrity. Despite having relevant internship experience and receiving positive feedback during the interview process, I found that the company’s hiring strategy seems entirely reliant on prioritizing individuals recently laid off from FAANG companies. It feels as though they are not genuinely interested in developing new talent or giving equal consideration to qualified candidates who don't fit that specific profile. Advice for Management: Be transparent with applicants regarding your hiring criteria. It is demoralizing to waste time and emotional energy interviewing when the process feels like a box-checking exercise. If you are not actually hiring, do not string candidates along with positive feedback. The current approach reflects poorly on the company’s values and brand. Recommendation: If you are not a recent layoff from a major tech firm, I would suggest looking elsewhere. It appears to be their business model to prioritize those specific candidates over others, regardless of your personal qualifications or positive performance during interviews.
