Pros

H.O. Penn is a third generation family run company with 5 locations in NY and CT and about 400 employees. After a couple of years at H.O. Penn, I continue to be impressed by the number of dedicated hard working employees that make this business a success. There is a genuine team spirit, powered by a smart business model that recognizes and rewards motivated employees with everything from competitive pay and benefits (medical, dental, vision and 401k) to holiday cookies delivered to your home, holiday lunch, wellness fair, and the list goes on. The company is also progressive and forward thinking, promoting feedback and new ideas with an annual survey and permanent suggestion board (with gift cards awarded quarterly to those branches with the most submissions!). Work and life balance is also a valued benefit by the employees, who are able to put in a solid days work and leave on time. There are a great number of employees with long tenure, which is easy to understand; working for a major player in the construction/power equipment industry while enjoying the benefits of this team oriented family owned business.
