Pros

Company has great benefits especially for retail. (vacation pay, wellness, time off, dental/medical insurance) Automatically in a union as soon as you start working here.

Cons

• Majority of benefits are for full time employees and non-existent for part timers. • MANAGEMENT IS HORRIBLE TREATS YOU LIKE DOG CRAP and never listens to your feedback. • Company is CHEAP on having a proper loss/prevention staff in its stores! • Whenever you bring up customer theft issues to managers, the MANAGER JUST BLAMES YOU AND DOESN'T TAKE IT INTO CONSIDERATION. • There is VERY LITTLE ROOM FOR PROMOTION unless you like brown nosing to corporate/ management till the unfathomable point you lose your dignity and self worth. • DISCRIMINATION: Heterosexual males are deemed as incompetent/morons in terms to trending fashion/business goals because lack of fitting stereotypes typically associated with females or homosexuals. • MYSTERY SHOPPERS: Some actually do their job and test the employees’ knowledge and understanding of H&M’s 5 basic demands others are not so nice and are actually quite spiteful and are looking to get employees fired with their own selfish agendas.

Pros

Benefits even for part-timers is a huge win! Sick leave, vacation, and community days. Nice management and really friendly coworkers. Decent employee discount. Diverse and welcoming environment.

Cons

Very stressful work environment considering the low pay. Poorly managed and operated. They clearly try to run lean and do as much work with as few people as possible. Very unprofessional overall and a lot of greenwashing.
