Pros
Overall H&M is a great company that takes care of its employees. It works hard to promote internally and believes in its employees. It pays decently, and benefits are better than any company I've ever worked for.
Cons
Some regions have an upper management staff that was promoted too quickly without appropriate education to help in the roles they play. They expect the stores to have a "cookie cutter" style where they don't take into account the customer base and incoming traffic of business. They've begun practicing on-calling employees by cutting hours of part-timers and expect them to drop plans or other jobs to come to work immediately. They've also halted internal growth in the southern region to promote externally, most of which quit shortly after training in a different region, siting the changes in management style they were taught verses the style they're expected to practice.
