Pros
I have worked for HRB for 11 years as a Tax Preparer, Office Manager, and Instructor. Because of my performance, I was invited to become a Virtual Instructor. I am now working almost full-time and enjoy the ability to schedule classes taken and proctored based on my schedule. HRB allows me flexible hours and gives me the ability to take as many courses I wish for free as an Enrolled Agent. HRB is constantly trying to find new ways to compete in the marketplace.
Cons
It is difficult to keep an office staffed with qualified Tax Pros depending on your location. If you notice from many of the reviews here, people have an average of 4+ years of experience. During certain times of the season, you can work 60+ hours a week. It is difficult to get office employees to do Marketing, but that is understandable because it's just not everyone's cup of tea.
