      Lots of benefits to working here, but still problems with corporate red tape - Program Manager H&R Block Employee Review

      Unlimited vacation time / Flexible work environment (WFH and working around personal schedules) Positive cultural environment (depends on department though) Supportive management (had 4 bosses so far and all have been positive, but again depends on department)

      Cons

      Reorganizations happen every year after tax season No one is really safe from a job title change to fit new structure or being let go entirely Performance does not always lead to promotional opportunities (you fight against outside hires at almost every level)

      Pros

      If you get in the right office you can have amazing coworkers and can learn so much. You can gain a ton of experience and knowledge if you are willing to work and collaborate with other preparers. Training is robust and is there for you to utilize and work your way up to higher salary. The potential to earn a full years salary working for half the year once trained up to a higher level and build your book of business.

      Cons

      Communication is often not the best and in the offseason you are off boarded or get reduced salary and only work a day or two a week
