Pros
There is an occasional staff member that cares about their patients. There is team work among some of the units.
Cons
I have been an RN >5 years and I have worked in two different units in this hospital. I would never recommend anyone go to this hospital if they are truly sick. It is a shame, but I am constantly seeing questionable practices on both the physician, nurse, and tech side; and even more so from a management standpoint. The nurse to patient ratio is horrendous! Especially in the ICU where all the nurses are routinely tripled, without techs, and without a secretary. This is normal to them. Their patients are rarely getting turned and bathed! Tele neurology is a complete JOKE! DO NOT COME HERE WITH A STROKE, please go to TMH. This hospital is constantly trying to be bigger and better without reflecting on the outcomes of their patients. Patients and employees are never a priority. Their numbers are the priority. The turnover rate is extremely high and they even try to falsely alter and cover up those numbers. This place is a disaster. I don't even know how they are legally still operable and haven't been in trouble. It is very sad as an RN to be embarrassed that you work as such a facility.
