Pros
The phrase "we are family" is used all the time.
Cons
I would not work for HCA as an OT. The pay is lower than in other hospitals, there is no room for growth, and incompetent therapists are promoted to leadership positions while keeping hard-working therapists as staff. The manager in this HCA facility has no idea how to lead a department of licensed professionals who are adults and manage like how she manages her children. New grads are taken advantage of as well. A hard-working OTR new grad is paid $10 less even though the person provides true hands-on therapy service, while a "seasoned" PT is paid $50 to watch someone in a hyperbaric chamber as a "safety director". PT is paid $50 to watch someone while reading a book instead of providing true therapy service.
