Pros

Company is good overall - you can join if you are getting good FIXED salary package. Ask a little more and get good fixed salary initially, because later they deduct some portion from the variable salary and do not give any salary hikes for subsequent years. Since it is a service based company, you need to give interviews after the current project duration ends but the good thing is that there are plenty of projects on almost every domain, so don't worry about getting a project. Initial Salary is good. WFH provided for some projects(i was lucky to get it, but it depends whether you land to such a project or not). Workload depends on project. But generally it is ok, you would get enough time for yourself apart from job. Some project managers are cool, all they need is that there should be no escalations from client side and things should run smoothly.

Cons

1. No salary hikes/promotions for many years - i spent 3.5 years and even got 7/10 average rating but no hike. 2. From last year, they are deducting your variable pay. 3. Some managers(not all) are too rude, indifferent and egoistic, they only like bootlicking employees even after knowing they are less competent. They don't care about you working without any motivation or recognition. 4. Very less paid leaves - you will only get 1 My leave annually (that requires no approval) and 3 RH annually. All other leaves are earned leaves which means you are buying those leaves against your basic salary. 5. If you don't like a project, be it any reason - it is very difficult to ask and get released. They will ask you to serve at least 18 months of period.

Where do I even begin.... HCl is a company that will overwork and underpay you and never give you a raise. I was lucky to get a very competitive wage when I started that I felt like I deserved and I fought for that. However even that process they bait and switched 3 times offering higher amounts over the phone and then going back on their word and offering less and less each time until they finally sent me an offer letter. The entire company is inept at communication at any and all levels. You will never get a raise and any time you have any kind of issue or need management/HR to do anything for you results in being ignored. Additionally they will add and add to your roles and responsibilities and ask for the impossible and unreasonable. They get contracts by underbidding other MSP's and then hiring as few people on site as possible and refer the rest of the work to overseas workers that will never do any work and always kick responsibility back to you. If you ever get lucky and they are forced to actually do their job they show that they clearly have no idea what they are doing or talking about. All around a terrible company to work for. If your job role is getting outsourced to HCL, fight for a good salary up front because they will never give you a raise and try to look for another place to work as soon as you can.
