      The companies number 1, 2, 3 focus is on utilization. They expect you to start achieving high UT after 6 weeks. Management is poor especially in the Rosemont, Chicago office with lots of people leaving. A very parochial approach to business and people. If you like working for state and local DOT’s and only for DOT’s, HDR is a good fit. Future tech and how to invest in it is a foreign concept to them.

      Culture, schedule flexibility, depending on management, remote work, and employee owned, okay benefits

      Cons

      Parking sucks. The office is in downtown so you have pay just about any where you park. Work is repetitive or stagnant sometimes.

      Pros

      Fantastic teamwork. The Coastal Group is very close and highly collaborative. There is a lot of support from upper management in the Coastal Group. Lots of projects lined up.

      Cons

      PTO and Sick Leave are tied together.
