Pros

Great benefits, collaboration opportunities with other teams (if you ask for them), community engagement, thorough training of new employees, well-regarded firm

Cons

This office is an acquisition and has retained a tight core of employees that have carried over the old management quirks from the old company. Project management styles and clients are unique to this group and are not representative of HDR company-wide. Project contracts/client expectations are often beyond scope and unrealistic due to "family" culture that expects unpaid work. The group takes seniority very seriously and always takes the side of the more senior employees, especially those who have been there pre-acquisition. There are specific managers who are particularly unhelpful and do not take ownership for their lack of management skills, and they will likely be there forever due to intense company loyalty.

Pros

Excellent structure and procedures in all areas of business

Cons

Role involved a lot of remote support whereas I prefer hands on, but overall excellent company.
