Pros

The only good thing is you get your paycheck, that's it, other than that i can't think of any other good thing about this company.

Cons

Poor management, low rate payment for employees. Management gets all the money . People with no experience in environmental services. No presence of the company or HR at the facility, weekends only 1 or 2 employees for the entire Hospital. Employees get overload all the time with work which was from the shift before.

Thank you for providing your feedback on your experience with HHS. I am providing your feedback to our local team in Orlando to follow up on any outstanding issues that need to be addressed. We bid and staff all of our accounts with adequate staff and pay market wages for each position in our company. In our industry we regularly provide more staffing than that of our competition and most in-house programs across the country. With that being said, if there are sudden increases to the facility’s census or other circumstances that affect the EVS workload it can impact staffing levels, and we would reevaluate staffing and work with our customer to adjust the number of staff needed. Upon hire, all of our managers go through an extensive training program where they gain hands-on experience with all of the daily tasks associated with EVS and become familiar with each of our processes that are in place to ensure high quality outcomes. Once on-site, each of these managers are placed in an assistant position until they are able to be promoted into a director position. Each director has mandated continuing education throughout their career and a strong support network of regional leadership to help support our desired outcomes. Every hourly team member also goes through both initial and continual training. Our training programs and organizational structure are very comprehensive to meet our internal standards, but also to ensure all regulatory compliance. Since I'm hearing that you are experiencing something different than our standards, I encourage you to please utilize the HHS Open Door Policy and reach out to your Vice President or TMR (tmr@hhs1.com) or to me directly so that we can properly address your concerns. Thank you, Joe Terry, CEO

Pros

Family-owned business with a large organizational exposure. Offers great pay and benefits with ample career advancement opportunities. I really enjoyed working for all the HHS leaders that I reported to. The company has maintained the family-owned feel as they grew.

Cons

These are dependent upon the customer/contract that you work under. As a contractor, you work for the customer and not HHS, and it's not always the local facility. In the healthcare sector, there's no work-life balance. You have to be all in all the time. Staffing is often really tight with extra-large expectations. Again, this is not an HHS reflection but is dependent on the actual contract owner.

Pros

Some hardworking people throughout the organization that are supportive and care.

Cons

Executive leadership lacks alignment. Priorities change constantly, communication is inconsistent, and there is little to no strategic direction. It feels like pure chaos all the time. The organization has grown faster than its infrastructure. Corporate teams are expected to support the company without the staffing or resources needed to do it well. Chronic burnout is inevitable when leadership continues to praise operating as a "lean team." Employees raise legitimate concerns, including concerns about leadership behavior, yet nothing changes. Accountability seems to depend on who you are rather than what happened. Favoritism and nepotism are blatantly obvious. If you're not part of the inner circle (or family), don't expect the same opportunities or support. Benefits continue to be stripped away, annual raises are minimal (2% or less) with no clear explanation for how increases are determined, and there is no transparent bonus structure. This was the most toxic work environment I've ever experienced. If you're considering working here, I'd encourage you to look elsewhere.
