Pros

Great place to gain operations management experience. The salary was great. When you're young and single relocating every 1-2 years is fun. I made great friendships while I was with HHS.

Cons

The experience is what you make it. If you go in and work hard, put in the hours, develop your team to run efficiently and effectively you will reap the rewards down the road. The major downside for me was lack of direction in career. I am an executive focused professional and saw no real opportunity to be an executive with the organization due to my lack of connections internally. In no way is this a dig at the company, but it is what it is.

"I am an executive focused professional and saw no real opportunity to be an executive with the organization due to my lack of connections internally." We expect to grow to 30 times (300,000 employees) our existing size (10,000 employees) over the next 25 years & will always be in great need of executives who can meet our standards.

Pros

HHS genuinely lives its values. The family-owned foundation is at the core of how we support our frontline and leadership teams, creating a community-focused environment. There is also a deep-rooted commitment to continuous improvement. I have witnessed the organization prioritize training, mentoring, and promoting from within to help team members reach their full potential. While we hold ourselves to high standards, there is a strong culture of accountability balanced by genuine support and teamwork.

Cons

Because HHS is constantly evolving to meet the needs of new industries and clients, the environment is fast-paced. It requires a high degree of adaptability and the ability to navigate change quickly. Additionally, as a large and growing organization, projects can be complex, and navigating internal processes as we scale requires patience and strong communication.
