Pros

The salary was decent for the job performed and having most of the weekends were great. Hourly employees were generally great to work with and were committed to doing the best they could.

Cons

Changes were constantly made without any discussion with lower level employees from upper management. They hire and promote anyone based on filling positions and not exactly hiring people who were qualified for those positions. The workplace is very political and upper management seemed to always play both sides. Had to be careful on expressing your own opinions because it could come back to you if they did not like what you said. Bosses found ways to remove people and place blame on others and not themselves. Finally, job duties are not evenly distributed among employees especially between director and assistant director. I found that the Director spent most days doing almost nothing at all and passing his duties to others.

Pros

HHS genuinely lives its values. The family-owned foundation is at the core of how we support our frontline and leadership teams, creating a community-focused environment. There is also a deep-rooted commitment to continuous improvement. I have witnessed the organization prioritize training, mentoring, and promoting from within to help team members reach their full potential. While we hold ourselves to high standards, there is a strong culture of accountability balanced by genuine support and teamwork.

Cons

Because HHS is constantly evolving to meet the needs of new industries and clients, the environment is fast-paced. It requires a high degree of adaptability and the ability to navigate change quickly. Additionally, as a large and growing organization, projects can be complex, and navigating internal processes as we scale requires patience and strong communication.
