Pros
They had an excellent continuing education program ( with a horrible administrator) and paid for my MBA in full taking night classes. As long as you show up to work there is a general level of job security (aside from layoffs). No one is let go based on performance, only for attendance.
Cons
They are a government contractor and are hindered by the Navy's demands for redundancy. The company is too big to implement real improvements for efficiency or quality. In two years I had 4 different supervisors and was assigned to 3 different departments- one newly created to house everyone from the various trades with the same job title. I was performing the same job and was moved twice, up to two miles away from my area of responsibility. management is just horrible.
