Pros
The pay is pretty good. Most of the people working on projects are dedicated, passionate, intelligent people and are great to work with. Some managers offer a lot of autonomy and flex time but others are really strict about 8-5. It just depends. Benefits are solid for the industry.
Cons
Management has done an awful job of leading the firm through financial difficulty. They'll try something for a quarter or two and if it doesn't yield immediate, unattainable, positive results it's another round of layoffs or reorganization or "changing strategies." Internal systems are antiquated as is the geographical organization of the company. Upper management lives in an echo chamber surrounded by "yes men." There is no vision, no transparency.
