Pros
- friendly co workers - pretty cool office - pay was decent
Cons
- there was no individual leading the product or company vision - management did not exist/come to work - seniority complex amongst employees more senior employees - low quality standards for software - quality of codebase and engineering best practices were not prioritized by management. - engineering team was separated from the rest of the organization. The advised way people would communicate with the engineering team triggered a pager duty alert every time. Way too much noise - management did not seem to trust the engineering team. Weekly demos were required so you could prove that you worked on something - perks were not as good as other companies. No beverages in the office, very few snacks, below par coffee machine. - no standing desks - slow internet - no performance reviews - no salary adjustments - engineers not involved in interview process. New people just show up on your team - never saw the CEO. - I was told to not make bug reports by at least two of my leads...
