Pros

-Typical corporate pros - PTO, hybrid work, 401K, benefits, etc. -Nothing unusually positive

Cons

-Zero chance of promotion. HP Is already bloated, particularly at upper-levels. Compounded with a shrinking business, your career will come to stand-still. Zero chance of promotion, or even improved scope. -Layoffs, layoffs, layoffs. The constant layoffs are hard to stomach. -No job security, especially if in the US. HP will move jobs to lower cost geographies at every opportunity. -Most functions happen outside of the US. This makes it impossible to move laterally, and hinders productivity. -Lives almost entirely in declining or low/no-growth markets. HP is still reliant on ink, printer, and laptop sales. When ink dries up, so will HP, and nobody is printing anymore. -Executive leadership out of touch with employees. They flaunt their expensive travel, events like Formula 1 races, and expensive technology/home offices. They're totally detached from employee reality. -Executive leadership out of touch with customers and HP brand perception. People don't like the HP brand due to poor experiences. Executive leadership fails to acknowledge that, and therefore, there's 0 plans to improve anything.

Pros

Good working culture. It falls a little prey to acting like we're a family and not a business, but at least it doesn't pretend "we work hard, we play hard".

Cons

ELT and upper management have zero vision for the company besides desperately trying to pull up stock prices. Company continues to make deep long-term sacrifices for short term gains, that barely rise above the performance of our competitors. Benefits weaken each year. Example: CVS Caremark now handles RxD insurance, and CVS Caremark is incompetent and exploitative.
