Pros
Healthcare is cheap. Boss is badass. Plenty of breaks. Paid days off. The first two are literally the only reason I haven't left yet as you can literally go to just about any jobs I've as a HELPER and get paid a lot more.
Cons
Not family friendly as far as pay and raise wise. No budget to fix anything. Literally had to email for permission to use a battery we had readily available. No batteries for our radios, no windshield or back rest on the golf cart, battery is dying on that too. Had to be secretly given a new tire for the damn thing by another company. These new contracts are b.s. and don't kick in for at least another month and we're of course getting less than the other plants who've had their raises for months now. Some have gone without a raise for 3 plus years. We literally help to keep the place from blowing up, but don't get paid as though our jobs are as important as the others. I was told that if you go to medical, they interrogate you for hours, so it's not worth the hassle. Management on the other side could definitely be better. I hate getting told by literally everyone else there that they don't know how we do it all day in this weather. It makes me want to punch them every time they say it. So many cons they are lucky to have me.
