Pros

Lots of energy. I had the opportunity to meet with some talented people. General sense of autonomy. Modern tech stack and tooling.

Cons

Lack of consistency in company vision and direction. Poor job security. Expect to get laid off even you meet the performance goals. Cynical, profit-focused leadership. Unreliable middle management. The Detection team gets all the cloud (not a con if you're in the detection team). Meetings for hours. You might not get to take lunch breaks.

Feedback is a gift, so thank you. I am sorry if you had a disagreeable time during your tenure with us. Thank you for this review. I’m sad to see you’re no longer with us and some of your feedback was tough to read. On the positive side, it is nice to see that you had a good experience with our team, enjoyed autonomy, and appreciated our modern tech/tools. With respect to your stated concerns: As someone who joined HUMAN in May, I am happy that as the leadership team, we are aligned on the company strategy and product vision, as well as the attributes that make up an exceptional workplace We're growing, and have already taken steps to recognize our best and brightest across all departments, plus we have engaged our folks to help us improve from within - as an example, our employee experience and culture hackers to feed new ideas and jumpstart programs As a for-profit enterprise we recognize that being profitable allows us to survive, help our people to thrive and to fund our mission which is to safeguard the integrity of the internet. Just look up how we discovered and then worked with industry to bring down the Pareto botnet Yes, work-life balance in Tech is hard, and in a pandemic it is harder still. There are a few programs we are actively working to rollout that helps We are working hard to be the kind of company we all would be proud to be a part of, as a current employee or an alumni. Warm regards, Alexa Raad, Chief People, Purpose and Policy Officer.

Pros

- Benefits and stipends - Pay - (Some) people :)

Cons

There are too many to name. If you're thinking of joining HUMAN Security, don't. There is no strategy, no direction, Product functions like a mess and there's too much coddling. The company feel overly reactive, priorities shift quickly and teams are expected to adjust in real time. Cross functional alignment is not always strong, which can create confusion around ownership, timelines, and decision making. Depending on the team, communication from leadership may not always provide enough clarity on long term strategy, leaving employees to navigate ambiguity more than they should. At times, high performers can end up carrying a disproportionate amount of the operational load, especially in roles that sit between teams and functions.
