Pleasant Work, but Low Pay - Notetaker Habitat Learn Employee Review

Pros

So, the pros of working as a notetaker for HabitatLearn is the work itself. I enjoy auditing the classes and taking notes for the students. Even as someone with a Master's degree in English, I have still learned a few things from several of the classes. Taking free classes is the ultimate perk of this job, plus you get access to the university libraries (online, of course), so you can download information that would otherwise be behind a paywall.

Cons

I think having to submit my invoices and the inconsistency of my hours (like, I cannot get paid for a class if there is a midterm for example). The reading week is also unpaid when it ought to be paid just because. The management can be a little disorganized at times, but HabitatLearn is not a big company, so I ultimately don't mind that too much.

Pros

You can attend college courses and learn something new.

Cons

They never pay you on time and then make excuses! Terrible work atmosphere where there is no actual HR and they take advantage of the fact that people need work and will deal with their horrible excuses of not paying people on time.
