Pros

Benefits, paid time off really nothing else except for some of the other excellent nurses there.

Cons

2.9 % raise after dealing with a pandemic that Hackensack Meridian was not at all prepared for nurses were made to look like heroes but inside we were treated terribly having to put our N 95s in bags and use them for over a week because the hospital did not have enough of them to go around they just switched their transport dispatch to Tennessee. Patients are taking hours to get to tests or go back to their units. We complain, but nobody listens. They make changes in the meetings that upper management goes to, but no one ever asks the nurses if it's a good idea to do things now they are changing to cheaper gloves that will not protect us. It is a horrible place to work.

Pros

Some staff were intelligent and motivated. It was nice to find a few others within the OR who wanted to grow, improve, and truly provide good patient care.

Cons

The entire work culture is dysfunctional. Many people outright refuse to perform work duties, and management/administration does absolutely nothing about it. Theft of time/materials, abuse, sexual harassment, violent verbal altercations, and failure to comply with sterile protocols were a daily occurrence. HR actively engages in cover-ups when issues are reported.
