Pros

You learn a lot. Not just about the industry and the inner workings of the apparel business but also about your self worth and a company's willingness to take advantage of their employees. There is much opportunity to learn because its a very sink or swim environment. You'll be able to do a lot of things outside of your job description but with very high expectations and very little training. The team you end up on and the manager you have will really make or break the experience.

Cons

Anyone who's ever worked at Haddad Brands will tell you that the overall company moral is very.... very low. No matter how "valuable" you think you are to the company there's always a chance of you coming in only to find out "you're being let go". It's a sick joke almongt the entire staff including upper management. There are a lot of psycological games that the company uses against their employees to ensure they know there is no sense of security. Abruptly switching your desk to another floor or area, changing you to another team, not allowing employees to eat lunch together inside the office, or even just completely changing all of your job responsibilities without any prior warning. It's a very uncomfortable place to work. Unhappy employees, high stress and little reward for efforts. Not to mention that the employees are bombarded with such unreasonable workloads and then told they cannot work overtime or in some instances they just won't get paid the overtime. It's very common to see employees clock-out for the day only to stay for another 3-4 hours just so they can catch up on all their work without getting in trouble with HR. ZERO care for work-life balance. Z E R O.

Pros

The holiday party. Oh wait, it’s on a Tuesday or Wednesday so no one can truly enjoy themselves, so nevermind! Absolutely no pros.

Cons

If I could change one thing in my life, it would be working at Haddad Brands. Coming straight out of college and it being your first job, you truly have no idea how warped working there is. The delusion and greed of the family should be studied-the workload and how they treat their employees is inhumane and honestly disgusting. A crash course is the hours are 8:30-5:30-giving them an extra hour of your life for absolutely no reason. You’re looked down upon if you take a break or step out, even just for a minute. You sit in a jail cell, with no windows, for 9 hours a day-elbow to elbow with the person next to you-and cameras watching and tracking your every move. The Haddads actively work to fire people (don’t be mistaken I wasn’t one of those people-getting a new job was probably one of the best days of my life)-who they consider to be ‘C Class Players’ which is anyone who doesn’t dedicate blood, sweat, tears and overtime to them. All you do is make them money but when it comes time for raises, promotions, benefits etc., they can’t put their money where their mouth is. The work is genuinely not even close to manageable-no matter how hard you work-and everything is under a microscope and scrutiny. The work from home days that have now dwindled into basically zero is laughable and there is no work life balance whatsoever. Just know that if you work at Haddad, you will be worked like a dog-no ifs, ands or buts.
