Pros

Great kids Brands to design for Solid HR team Training and Classes available for support Clear Structure/Org chart Respectable and Fair Leadership Great Benefits and Perks Talented, Amiable and Diverse Staff Company and Teams work to make it Fun Team environment Opportunity for growth and move around within the company Salary is Fair Balance of WFO/ WFH Manageable work hours Clean office Environment Easy commuting location “We are all in this together” environment Motto of CanDoAttude Summary: This is my 2nd working here. Came back because it IS a great place to work. Teams that I work with are partnering and collaborative. My immediate management staff is supportive and is forward thinking. Location is easy to get to and design space is clean and plenty. Showrooms are beautiful and make me feel proud of what we’ve created. This company has the perfect balance of corporate and family run feel; Meaning it has lots of structure, but is ultimately run by a family, so it feels personal. The Haddad family that leads is friendly, fair, considers the needs of their employees in situations that arise, and makes the final decision. I find that a a pro since I always know where I stand and that there IS a decision maker. Each team makes its own fun, so the 8:30-5:30 work day is pleasant. We work hard but play hard here. This company is growing exponentially, acquiring more brands and regions- come on over and settle in.

Cons

Calendar needs fine tuning Many cooks in the kitchen Strategies can flip flop Sourcing tends to finalize design At times, Factory capabilities are limited Over development and revisions Summary: Design decisions are by committee and are designed for Mass Retail; if you like high fashion and working in silos- this place isn’t the best fit. Calendar can be a bit of the roller coaster at times, but since we get visibility to it, you can plan for it. Strategies flip flop based on account / Sales needs and the information can cause many revisions. Although I have mentioned cons, the pros listed far outweigh any of these.

Pros

The holiday party. Oh wait, it’s on a Tuesday or Wednesday so no one can truly enjoy themselves, so nevermind! Absolutely no pros.

Cons

If I could change one thing in my life, it would be working at Haddad Brands. Coming straight out of college and it being your first job, you truly have no idea how warped working there is. The delusion and greed of the family should be studied-the workload and how they treat their employees is inhumane and honestly disgusting. A crash course is the hours are 8:30-5:30-giving them an extra hour of your life for absolutely no reason. You’re looked down upon if you take a break or step out, even just for a minute. You sit in a jail cell, with no windows, for 9 hours a day-elbow to elbow with the person next to you-and cameras watching and tracking your every move. The Haddads actively work to fire people (don’t be mistaken I wasn’t one of those people-getting a new job was probably one of the best days of my life)-who they consider to be ‘C Class Players’ which is anyone who doesn’t dedicate blood, sweat, tears and overtime to them. All you do is make them money but when it comes time for raises, promotions, benefits etc., they can’t put their money where their mouth is. The work is genuinely not even close to manageable-no matter how hard you work-and everything is under a microscope and scrutiny. The work from home days that have now dwindled into basically zero is laughable and there is no work life balance whatsoever. Just know that if you work at Haddad, you will be worked like a dog-no ifs, ands or buts.
