Pros

decent healthcare. work on well known brands. some co-workers are pleasant, learn the industry.

Cons

Working at Haddad Brands was the most toxic experiences of my adult career. This company is filled with micro-aggressions, including from the top executives in the company. There was an instance I witnessed where an individual was humiliated by one of the leaders of the company, where a person was publicly outed during a meeting in front of 60+ co-workers, and according to them HR did nothing. This is a company that is run on a set of conservative, old-world values and i highly recommend reconsidering if you are marginalized looking at a job there. middle management functions with with ridiculously high expectations, repeated temper flareups, and shunning/ ‘silent treatment’ randomly used as punishment. There was pressure answer personal texts after hours, and instances of retaliation against people for this reason. The communication is very poor and when mistakes would arise due to lack of communicating important information, like deadlines, middle management will punish and shame you instead of telling you how to fix it or taking accountability. Beyond this, inappropriate comments are routinely made about race, gender, and sexuality. There are several managers I interacted with on my team who had very bad tempers that they had trouble controlling. They would also tell their friends on other teams when they were upset with with their direct reports, creating a band of 4-5 people who would stop speaking to that person for intermittent periods of time. I have never had such tumult on a team before or since, and unfortunately this company environment breeds discontent and bitterness and upper management has little concern for their employees beyond the bottom line.

Pros

The holiday party. Oh wait, it’s on a Tuesday or Wednesday so no one can truly enjoy themselves, so nevermind! Absolutely no pros.

Cons

If I could change one thing in my life, it would be working at Haddad Brands. Coming straight out of college and it being your first job, you truly have no idea how warped working there is. The delusion and greed of the family should be studied-the workload and how they treat their employees is inhumane and honestly disgusting. A crash course is the hours are 8:30-5:30-giving them an extra hour of your life for absolutely no reason. You’re looked down upon if you take a break or step out, even just for a minute. You sit in a jail cell, with no windows, for 9 hours a day-elbow to elbow with the person next to you-and cameras watching and tracking your every move. The Haddads actively work to fire people (don’t be mistaken I wasn’t one of those people-getting a new job was probably one of the best days of my life)-who they consider to be ‘C Class Players’ which is anyone who doesn’t dedicate blood, sweat, tears and overtime to them. All you do is make them money but when it comes time for raises, promotions, benefits etc., they can’t put their money where their mouth is. The work is genuinely not even close to manageable-no matter how hard you work-and everything is under a microscope and scrutiny. The work from home days that have now dwindled into basically zero is laughable and there is no work life balance whatsoever. Just know that if you work at Haddad, you will be worked like a dog-no ifs, ands or buts.
