Pros

- “discounts” for converse and nike (nike discount does not apply to any custom product or sales) - experience working with some of the most incompetent nepo babies you have ever met

Cons

The worst part of working here is hearing “oh well it could be worse”. The fact of the matter is it’s a dangerous company to work for. Sure there are other companies like it but none that use other brands as a shield for their own misconduct. The companies they claim to have good relationships with regard haddad as a cheap crappy resource they are forced to work with and if you think working for this company bc they could lead you into better brands you will be sorely mistaken. They monitor their employees with cameras (there are two employees one exec who constantly are watching surveillance of the offices) and spyware that they install secretly into people’s laptops. They claim that they are hybrid when in reality you are only able to take two days wfh every month because they do not trust their employees. The HR department technically employs two people but everyone knows that there is only one person with authority, the other mother pre ozempic does her best to make sure no one in her bizarre universe (make the men upstairs mad). Having a single employee running your HR division is a red flag for a company of haddads size. For reference a typical company of at least 100 persons should have at LEAST 5-6 HR people dedicated to employee management. While not completely illegal they flirt with ethic violations too often for anyone to consider it a safe working environment. This goes for holidays, pay, etc. I would suggest if you are approached with an offer seriously consider going elsewhere. They trap young professionals early and groom them most vulnerable and desperate into staying 10+ years in a dead end job. The utter lack of respect and dignity this company gives its employees is extremely depressing and you can tell every day that people are drained emotionally and mentally. If you stay at this company you will not be able to leave on your own (also if you try to look for other jobs while at this one the hr will sometimes get notifications of your application bc the family is also connected to other fashion businesses that alert the hr team.) It’s an absolute joke of a company with more focus on monitoring their employees rather than completing any actual work. You are worth so much more and working at a place like this will only set you up for failure in your career. It is not a stepping stone it is a cliff. Also if you’re confused by the mixed reviews check which reviews are liked the most bc certain employees are often coerced by HR to write good reviews in their yearly touchbases.

Pros

The holiday party. Oh wait, it’s on a Tuesday or Wednesday so no one can truly enjoy themselves, so nevermind! Absolutely no pros.

Cons

If I could change one thing in my life, it would be working at Haddad Brands. Coming straight out of college and it being your first job, you truly have no idea how warped working there is. The delusion and greed of the family should be studied-the workload and how they treat their employees is inhumane and honestly disgusting. A crash course is the hours are 8:30-5:30-giving them an extra hour of your life for absolutely no reason. You’re looked down upon if you take a break or step out, even just for a minute. You sit in a jail cell, with no windows, for 9 hours a day-elbow to elbow with the person next to you-and cameras watching and tracking your every move. The Haddads actively work to fire people (don’t be mistaken I wasn’t one of those people-getting a new job was probably one of the best days of my life)-who they consider to be ‘C Class Players’ which is anyone who doesn’t dedicate blood, sweat, tears and overtime to them. All you do is make them money but when it comes time for raises, promotions, benefits etc., they can’t put their money where their mouth is. The work is genuinely not even close to manageable-no matter how hard you work-and everything is under a microscope and scrutiny. The work from home days that have now dwindled into basically zero is laughable and there is no work life balance whatsoever. Just know that if you work at Haddad, you will be worked like a dog-no ifs, ands or buts.
