Pros
Good people who are passionate about what they do. Although these people are few and far between, when you run into them it's like a breath of fresh air or a glass of cold water on a hot day. If you are lucky enough to work with them regularly, Halliburton is a great place to work. If not, you count the moments until you have a chance to bump into them and collaborate on a project with them!
Cons
Upper management is very hierarchical and there is a definite "caste" system in place with regards to leadership. Instead of seeing all employees as potential leaders, upper management places them in boxes that they are seemingly never able to climb out of. Another large con was the way in which communication was handled regarding the move of the entire HR division to a new office location. For many, the move was a huge increase in commute, and was going to be a hardship on many employees. Instead of discussing it openly and addressing concerns, upper management simply said "it's Houston, and you should expect to drive an hour or more to work."
