Pros

Professional Interview process and Orientation. Online and email based on boarding. Friendly recruiter and other onboarding staff available to assist.

Cons

Fast deadlines with confusing instructions. The recruiter will give you instructions via email with a different set of instructions attached, then you will have a completely different set of instructions after orientation. Then along the way you may get an email with an additional instructions that were not communicated at all to begin with. There are two back-ground checks with two completely different processes. While jumping through these hoops you will may get different instructions along the way. Much of the correspondence occurs through email. Concerning forms you will receive through email - they serve a purpose BUT are not very functional nor entirely professional looking - F.E, you will get a pdf form with fill-form fields. YET, not all of the fill-form fields are function or can contain all the entered information one needs to include. Much of these dysfunctional forms will need to be printed and filled out by hand. This was a hassle. You will need a computer, scanner, and printer at home to complete much of the onboarding process - and you better be computer savvy. If you don't have these available, you will have trouble meeting deadlines. Moreover, along the way some instructions will change. I got asked to submit colored copies of IDs after submitting greyscale copies in my digital paperwork - you would think this would be clearly stated in some instructions; unfortunately, that was not the case. On top of that, I got asked to submit additional identification when written instructions only called for one form. This was very frustrating and this led to needlessly resubmitting information. Lastly, when undergoing the fingerprinting process, I was instructed to bring 2 copies of my ID and Passport to the fingerprinting (which I made in color since the company's preference was to have colored copies of IDs). Despite all that, the copies were not even used or needed! My best advice for new hires: 1) Be thorough even when the instructions are not clear, 2) Be ready to submit multiple Identification forms, 3) Submit colored copies of your required identification. 4) Do not CC your recruiter in email correspondence as this will only confuse them - they deal with many new employees along the hiring process. 5) If you need to contact your Recruiter, call them instead of email.

Pros

Good starter job for those in college Flexible schedule, don't need to come in when sick, can basically call off whenever if you ask early enough Easy interview, basically know some geography and how timezones work

Cons

Low pay Too many responsibilities at the pay range You're basically on call and the schedule will suck if you work for a smaller airline in that airport The insurance is UHC, you obviously know what that means (they're NEVER going to pay for treatment)
